《邊緣禁地》系列開發商Gearbox終於公布了他們的第一款PS4和Xbox One遊戲項目《為戰而生》。這款遊戲被形容為一款第一人稱競技場遊戲，遊戲同時還將登陸PC。《為戰而生》是一個全新的系列，將由2K Games發行。根據Gearbox的消息，遊戲將融合幾類遊戲的特點，成為一款風格迥異的合作射擊遊戲。遊戲中還將包括大量不同的英雄。《邊緣禁地：前傳》是Gearbox正在製作的另外一款遊戲。遊戲將在PS3,Xbox 360和PC上發售，但是遊戲也可能會在未來登陸現代主機。
